The Azimio la Umoja camp must brace itself for the worst from Mt Kenya’s support base. They should not be astonished if a presidential candidate from that region runs for office, according to Kitui Central MP Makali Muli.
Raila Odinga, the leader of the ODM party, is anticipated to gain support from the Mount Kenya region after some leaders joined his Azimio la Umoja alliance. President Uhuru Kenyatta has also been seen encouraging his own people to back Raila.
Raila’s presidential ambitions, according to Makali, may be jeopardized as a result of what happened in the recent general election.
He claims that the people of Mount Kenya may wind up endorsing their own leader to run for president at the last minute.
