Yesterday, a local tycoon left Kenyans perplexed after making some troubling comments about the president’s purported assassination.
According to Stanley Livondo, there have been two separate assassination attempts on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s life.
Many were taken aback when Livondo spoke during Moses Kuria’s homecoming prayers at the Thika stadium.
“Would you forgive your friend, who is like a brother to you, if he tries to crash a plane on which you are on more than twice?” President Uhuru was travelling from Kisumu to Nairobi in the first instance, and then to the United States through Dubai in the second.
“Due to the aborted effort to crash his plane, the plane was forced to divert to Kenya,” he explained.
These remarks elicited a mixed reaction on the internet.
Dennis Itumbi, a close supporter of Dp Ruto, has called for the city tycoon’s immediate arrest and questioning.

A large number of Kenyans have demanded that the startling and concerning remarks be thoroughly investigated.
