The race to State House in 2022 is already at its pinnacle, with prominent political figures spotted campaigning and selling their manifestos across Kenya ahead of the polls.

The ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, the KANU party leader Gideon Moi, the Wiper Democratic party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, the Speaker of the National Assembly Justine Muturi, the ODM party leader Raila Amollo Odinga, and Deputy President Wario are among those warming up for the presidency seat, which is set to remain vacant in August when President Kenyatta completes his two terms.

Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga and Deputy President William Samoei Ruto appear to be the frontrunners among these numerous aspirants. This is because they have made breakthroughs for their political parties in several parts of the country Kenya.

Both Odinga and Deputy President Ruto have held the majority of their campaign rallies in the Mount Kenya regions. They appear to have been drawn in by the region’s reputation for high voter turnout in past general elections. And, based on the looks of things, the two will have running partners from the Mount Kenya region.

Odinga and DP Ruto appear to have comparable popularity in many sections of the country, according to the current political situation. And it is expected that the persons they choose as running mates will influence their election outcome.

Many rumors have circulated about who would be Odinga’s best running mate in the upcoming presidential election.

The poll was conducted to determine who among the leaders who are expected to be chosen as Odinga’s running mate is Odinga’s preferred running mate.

According to the Tifa opinion poll, Honorable Peter Kenneth was identified as Odinga’s preferred running mate. Peter Kenneth received 41 percent, Kalonzo Musyoka received 18 percent, Martha Karua received 13 percent, Charity Ngilu received 5 percent, and Peter Munya received 4 percent.
