Sabina Chege, the Murang’a Women Representative, has made news for implying that the August votes could be manipulated in favor of Azimio la Umoja’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
The IEBC called her yesterday, and she will find out her fate next week, when the commission reveals how they would deal with Sabina Chege.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s punishment for Chege’s remarks has finally been revealed.
According to a report in today’s Star, the commission has three options for punishing Sabina Chege. The first is to issue a warning to her, telling her not to repeat her remarks anywhere.
The second option will be to demand a fine from her, and the third will be to bar her from voting in the August elections.
This comes as the Electoral Commission continues to face questions about the 2017 election’s mishandled results.
