One of the main figures who has already stated his interest in the presidency is Deputy President William Ruto. The DP has been actively campaigning for some time, and as the country approaches the upcoming general election, he has stepped up his efforts.
The fact that most of DP Ruto’s allies have been linked to large-scale corruption scandals and other dirty dealings is a source of concern in his camp, and things have now turned ugly ahead of the August election, as Ledama Olekina has challenged DP William Ruto’s allies, particularly county governors, to come clean on their corruption deals or else he will expose them.
