Six Popular High School students have been arrested for allegedly attempting to set fire to the school’s dormitory.

Even after education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha delivered declarations about the non-enrollment of rowdy scholars expelled from other institutions, several arson occurrences have been reported in secondary schools over the last few months.

Six students from Milimani Secondary School in Nairobi County have been arrested for allegedly attempting to fire a dormitory with over 500 beds on Sunday night.

According to sources, the incident resulted in the burning of at least eight mattresses.

When the students were in class for their evening studies at around 8 p.m., the dormitory caught fire.

During the incident, however, none of the students were injured. The police are looking into the situation, according to the school principal.

The incident occurs just months after CS Magoha issued stern warnings to students who engage in criminal activity in universities, threatening them with harsh consequences.
