According to a Facebook post by Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Florence Nabangala Wafula, an elderly woman from Kimilili Constituency in Bungoma County, died today of an unexplained cause.
“The loss of Florence Nabangala Wafula, mother of my buddy Benson Netondo and others, has saddened us.” Mama Florence was a strong pillar in the church and community, as well as a humble, hardworking, and unselfish woman,” according to the post.
Lusaka went on to say that Nabangala and her late husband Patroba Malenya will be remembered for providing a piece of their family land for the establishment of Friends Church Bituyu. The following are some of the heartfelt messages left for the deceased heroine on Facebook.
