Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced today that Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula is invited to join the Azimio La Umoja campaign. The two were founding members of the OKA coalition before joining the Kenya Kwanza Alliance alongside ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi.
He claimed that he will persuade him to meet with him to discuss whether he will join Azimio and support Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign, citing their previous collaborations in CORD and NASA Coalition in 2013 and 2017, respectively.
Wetangula stated in a video released on Twitter by Ntv news that Kalonzo is his closest political friend in Kenya, but he is at ease with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, which he believes will form the next government following the August 9 general election. He went on to say that he believes Kalonzo is uneasy about the Azimio La Umoja movement.
