Confusion has rocked deputy president William Ruto’s ardent supporters in Samburu County after newly-joined outgoing governor Lenenkulal began campaigning for Candidates running on Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party tickets.
According to reliable sources, the departing county chief, who abandoned his senatorial ambitions in favor of Steve Lelegwe and was named Ruto’s county campaign manager, has begun campaigns for Azimio County senator and governor candidates, Dr. Richard Lesiyampe and Henry Lengolos, respectively.
The action was later determined to be motivated by Senator Lelegwe’s disagreements, with the supremacy conflict serving as the primary motivator.
Governor Lenolkulal, on the other hand, has insisted that Samburu residents vote for his boss, Vice President William Ruto, to be elected President.
“Are you ready for the general election on August 9? Then, vote for Henry Lengolos and Dr. Lesiyampe to be your senator and governor, respectively. Please elect DP Ruto as your next president.” He was heard urging the locals in a previous incident.
However, supporters of deputy president William Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza Alliance have criticized the governor’s audacious decision to back opponents.
