DJ Evolve, also known as Felix Orinda, has regained his voice following a successful eight-hour surgery that was part of his recovery process after being shot at a City club.
In an interview with the Star on Thursday, Evolve expressed his gratitude for being able to speak well again, saying that he never thought this day would come.
The surgery took place on March 6, 2023, and Evolve stated that he put his faith in God for it to be successful. Despite still being confined to a wheelchair, he is practicing sitting.
In January 2020, Evolve was shot in the neck by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, resulting in life-changing injuries. Although murder charges were initially filed against Owino, they were later dropped.
Following his shooting, Evolve’s recovery journey was further complicated by the passing of his mother on September 23, 2021.
