Mr Justin Muturi, the former Speaker of the National Assembly, has now demanded that President Uhuru Kenyatta explain to Kenyans why he fell out with his deputy president, William Ruto.
The now-close ally of Dp William Ruto stated that he had desperately sought answers from Uhuru Kenyatta regarding his fallout with his second in command, but had yielded no results.
Mr Muturi revealed on Wednesday, during the burial of Isaac Ruto’s mother in Kericho county, that he once formed a group of religious leaders, including retired John Cardinal Njue, to reconcile and end the division between the two, but it was all in vain.
On that note, the Speaker was adamant that Kenyans deserved a convincing explanation for the schism between the two leaders, who were very close during their first term in office from 2013 to 2017.
“Kenyans have a right to know what went wrong between President Kenyatta and his Deputy. Before leaving the stage at the end of his term, the president should come out and clear the air. That clarification can no longer come from anyone other than the President “Muturi was brought.
