David Matsanga, a Ugandan-based lawyer, has disclosed how Deputy President William Ruto violated the Kenyan constitution during his travel to the United States of America.
In an interview with TV47, lawyer Matsanga said that Ruto violated the election laws by fundraising.
Politicians vying for various seats are forbidden from participating in fundraising, which was due in February, under the Election Act.
” Aspirants are prohibited from participating in fundraisers eight months to the general election yet DP Ruto attended a fundraising in the US where people paid $1000 per plate,” Dr. David Matsanga has said.
DP Ruto is currently wrapping off a 12-day tour abroad with close allies, including his communication staff.
Azimio la Umoja friends have attacked him, accusing him of undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta’s agenda.
Even before the backing of ODM leader Raila Odinga, President Uhuru and his DP Ruto were seen in public conflict.
