Give Kalonzo Whatever He Demands: Former Police Spokes Man To Azimio Coalition

The panelists for the day were former police spokesperson and Siaya Gubernatorial aspirant Charles Owino, political commentator Dr.Alutala Mukwana, and moderator Ken Mijungu in a more composed Wednesday evening interview by the standard Media KTN News.

The interview focused on the party primaries and the political dynamics that have defined the two largest coalitions ahead of the August elections, with the upcoming party nomination being a key topic of discussion.

Dr. Mukhwana stated that it will be difficult for candidates aspiring to various political seats to obtain a party ticket, even if they have some good political ground.

That is, unless they are running against the interests of the party, in addition to the issue of money in politics and, more importantly, the blessings of the party’s godfathers.

You should be aware that the ODM ticket for the Siaya gubernatorial race is likely to be handed to senator of the region senior council James Orengo, who was found suitable against other aspirants through party consensus.

As a result, there have been many squabbles within the party, with Charles Owino, who was also eyeing the ticket, deciding to join UDM.

The race for county chief executive took an interesting turn when former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo teamed up with Owino to take on the presumptive ODM candidate Senator James Orengo.

On the other hand, in a matter that appears to never end, Charles Owino praised Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who has since offered his support to Raia Odinga.

Owino described Kalonzo as a statesman who is God-fearing and composed, as well as one of the most senior politicians, even more senior than Raila Odinga, who was imprisoned at the time he was elected to parliament.

He also insisted that the Azimio Coalition give in to Kalonzo’s demands, which include the deputy president’s position, the Nairobi gubernatorial seats, and other demands by the wiper leader, and that it was within his right to demand his long-term support for Raila Odinga.

Charles also stated that the two politicians will eventually reach an agreement regardless of the circumstances or the pressure from outside opposing forces, and that they are unlikely to disagree.
