Roots party presidential candidate professsor George Wajackoya launched his manifesto on Thursday evening at Nairobi’s Kenyatta International Conversation Center (KICC).
Wajackoya outlined a number of things he intends to do for the Kenyan people if given the opportunity to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August general elections.
Wajackoyah has stated that one of the things he will do is legalize marijuana, which he claims has numerous medicinal and economic benefits. He claims that marijuana will help pay off the country’s nearly Ksh 10 trillion debt.
During the event, Wajackoyah also praised President Uhuru Kenyatta, saying that his decision to involve the military in running some key sectors of government was sound.
He claimed that the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) has been performing admirably since President Uhuru Kenyatta handed over control to the military. He claimed that the commission has been profitable due to the military officers’ discipline.
He also stated that the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS), a project of President Uhuru Kenyatta, is doing well in the city under the leadership of Retired General Mohammed Badi.
He also stated that if he wins the presidential election in August, he will follow in the footsteps of President Uhuru Kenyatta by deploying the military to run some of the government’s key sectors in order to reduce corruption.
