Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua threatened yesterday to leave the Azimio coalition for a variety of reasons.
However, in an interview with CitizenTVKe this morning, Mutua revealed that the deputy president, William Ruto, called him last night.
Mutua claims he missed a call from the deputy president just hours after threatening to leave Azimio.
Mutua has complained about mistreatment in the coalition. Speaking this morning, the Machakos governor claimed that Azimio is marginalizing the coalition’s small parties.
Decisions in the coalition, he claims, have been made by ODM, Wiper, and Jubilee.
Mutua has stated that they have been pressured to sign documents that they have not yet read, which they have stated that they will not do.
Several parties who have been impacted by this misunderstanding have threatened to form a new coalition.
Mutua, on the other hand, stated that he was willing to collaborate with anyone, including Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
