At the moment, the president is presiding over a meeting of the Azimio la Umoja Coalition Party Council at the K.I.C.C. The alliance’s flag bearer, Narc Kenya party leader Matha Karua, and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka are among the other top Azimio leaders attending the meeting. Raphael Tuju is among the other leaders in attendance at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
At 8.30 a.m., President Kenyatta arrived and was greeted by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. After the President, the Wiper party leader, who wants to be Raila’s running mate, arrived at the venue. The leaders are expected to discuss a variety of issues concerning the Azimio One Kenya alliance, including running mate issues.
According to a source at the Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC), the council will discuss how to select Mr. Odinga’s running mate, as well as the fielding of candidates in Nairobi, when it meets today.
