What President Uhuru said today at the Madaraka Day celebrations piqued the interest of Azimio allies.

Today was Uhuru’s final holiday as President of Tanzania, as his tenure comes to an end. President Kenyatta presided over the ceremony, which was attended by a large number of Kenyans. The event took place in Nairobi, Kenya, at Uhuru Gardens.

In his speech, Uhuru urged Kenyans to vote for Raila Odinga and Martha Karua, noting that this is the first time a female has held the second highest office in Kenya. President Uhuru Kenyatta even broke protocol by not recognizing his Deputy President, William. Following the handshake between the President and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in 2018, Uhuru and Ruto fell out.

It appears that the hatred between the two leaders, who were always brothers, has reached new heights. Uhuru had declared his support for Raila Odinga’s presidential bid, and he had even joined Odinga’s Jubilee party, which had formed the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance with other parties. Raila will now run for president through the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.
