Professor George Magoha, the education Cabinet Secretary, has issued an encouraging message to students as they prepare for the impending national examinations. Insecurities and gang attacks have been reported in numerous places across the country. However, these situations of insecurity disrupt the learning routine in schools, affecting the students’ performance.

However as a way of compensation for the inconveniences experienced during learning, Magoha suggest that more consideration shall be embraced while marking the national examinations for learners from most affected areas. In other words the Kenya National Examinations Council(KNEC) shall consider the challenges faced by learners affected by bandit attacks, as they mark their scripts. It is a new directive that has been received differently among Kenyans. In addition the school heads are still carrying out final plans prior to KCPE and KCSE examinations.Indeed the educationist should collaborate with the ministry of education to ensure proper monitoring and administration of the national examinations.
