What Kalonzo Has in Store for the Azimio Coalition on March 12

While Raila’s side wants each party to join Azimio as an individual, creating a large table around which to discuss power, Kalonzo has maintained that OKA should join Azimio as a coalition, not as individual parties, which is claimed to be at the heart of the standoff.

In an interview with Nation Media, Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo announced that Wiper and the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) will not attend the Azimio La Umoja National Delegates Conversation on Saturday, March 12th, 2022.

On the same day, delegates are expected to elect the alliance’s presidential flag bearer. Attending the convention, according to Kilonzo, would imply that they are already in Azimio la Umoja, but discussions are still ongoing.

The action comes only hours after OKA principals Gideon Moi, Wiper’s head Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc-Martha Kenya’s Karua, and UDP’s Cyrus Jirongo postponed the signing of a collaboration agreement due to problems.
