President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to vote in large numbers to ensure that Kenya Kwanza allies are silenced following the election. He also told them to keep the peace during the elections.
He accused Azimio opponents of spreading insults about him and promised to put a stop to it after the election.
“I’m also urging you to avoid any form of violence in the run-up to the election and to ensure that the other opponents who were traversing the country hurling insults at me are silenced.” Uhuru stated.
Speaking in Nyeri county, Uhuru predicted that Raila Odinga would win and that electing Ruto would be a mistake. The president stated that he initially intended to support his deputy but changed his mind after realizing that the DP was incapable of leading the country.
A day before the election, Azimio la Umoja One Coalition Presidential candidate Raila engaged in intense prayers at KICC on Sunday.
Raila was joined by his running mate Marth Karua, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Esther Passaris, and Ida Odinga.
