Zack Kinuthia, the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Sports, has come out in support of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rule beyond the August elections. Uhuru is too young to retire, according to Zack, and he can’t stay silent like President Kibaki.
Kinuthia declared that Uhuru Kenyatta will continue to lead the country through Raila Odinga during an interview with Kameme TV on Wednesday morning. He claimed that Uhuru is knowledgeable and that his abilities will be needed in the next administration.
The CAS also urged inhabitants of Mt Kenya to vote for Raila Odinga because, in reality, President Uhuru Kenyatta will be in charge of the country if Odinga wins. Because Uhuru would be in charge, Kinuthia believes Mt Kenya will continue to benefit from milestone projects and other benefits.
“I don’t why our people get angry when it is said that Raila is a project of Uhuru. They should actually be very happy. It means that president Uhuru will still be running the government if Raila wins,” alluded Kinuthia.
“This means that our region will continue enjoying big projects and other government favours. Uhuru is too young to retire and he can’t just be silent like Mwai Kibaki. Let’s support Odinga so that Uhuru can continue being in control,” added Zack.
Kinuthia also announced that he has resigned as CAS and would run for the Kigumo parliamentary seat on the Azimio coalition’s ticket. He also urged Mount Kenya residents to vote against William Ruto.
