Hon Cleophas Malala, the Kakamega county senator, has told the incumbent Kakamega county governor, Wycliffe Ombeta Oparanya, to stop imposing unpopular leaders on Kakamega county residents. Senator Cleophas Malala is running for governor of Kakamega County in this year’s general elections, which are scheduled for August 9th.
He is campaigning for votes and support from the people of Kakamega County to become the county’s next governor. Senator Malala is allied with Kenya kwanza, which is led by deputy president William Ruto, who is also running for president of Kenya to succeed incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Senator Cleophas Malala is a close friend and ally of Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi. Senator Malala is a member of the African National Congress (ANC). He is one of the western region leaders who has endorsed DP William Ruto’s presidential bid for the State House ahead of the August elections.
Dr. Bon Khalwale, who had declared interest in the governorship of Kakamega County, has dropped his gubernatorial bid in order to support Senator Cleophas Malala. Dr. Bon Khalwale is running for the Senate seat that will be vacated by incumbent Senator Cleophas Malala.
