Speculations High As Uhuru Is Expected To Spill The Beans As To Why He Parted Ways With Ruto

According to Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s refusal to endorse his deputy, William Ruto, as Kenya’s future President, has a “deeper motive.” He argues that of all the leaders that served throughout the 10-year duration of the Jubilee government, the President is the most familiar with DP Ruto, and he has his own explanations for their feud.

On Citizen TV’s Daybreak show on Wednesday, Wandayi stated that President Kenyatta would soon “spill the beans” to the public, most likely after the Mt. Kenya leadership assembled at Sagana State Lodge.

“For President Kenyatta to determine that William Ruto is unsuited to succeed him, there must be something he knows that we don’t, and this is the source of the Tangatanga group’s fear,” he theorized.

“And that much that Uhuru knows about Ruto could start coming out in the open today in Sagana,” he said.

Senator Isaac Mwaura, who also appeared on the show, discounted Wandayi’s assertions, stating that the Sagana 3 conference is merely “propaganda” and that he doesn’t expect anything significant to come out of it.

“To be honest, I don’t expect much from it, and I don’t see anything earth-shattering in it. We’ve asked ourselves this issue previously (what happened between the President and his Deputy), and all we hear is that the DP went ahead of the President, which isn’t true,” Mwaura stated.
