If you frequent social media pages, you’ve probably come across Kikuyu Benga musician Samidoh Muchoki. He is one of Kenya’s most powerful celebrities today, having taken Mugithii music worldwide.
He was in Naivasha a few hours ago for a Mugithii show, where he was accompanied by Polycarp Igathe, a Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate running against Sakaja. Sakaja is currently in court due to allegations that his degree is forged.
He described himself as a young boy full of dreams and hope, unaware that he would one day shine in the big city. Many people assumed he was supporting Igathe’s candidacy because they were singing together.
One of his followers commented that in Nairobi, people support Johnson Sakaja, with or without papers, rather than Polycarp Igathe. This drew Samidoh’s attention, and he responded by asking if she was from Tetu Constituency in Nyeri County. This was a hidden response asking her to think about politics in her home county. What are your thoughts on this?
