On the eve of the election, Tanzania’s president, her Excellency President Samia Suluhu, has written a powerful message to Kenyans.
President Samia Suluhu wished Kenyans a one-of-a-kind general election on her Twitter account. She also asked / prayed to God to be with Kenyans as they head to polling stations to vote for their preferred leaders.
Suluhu made one simple request of Kenyans. She urged Kenyans to vote for leaders who value peace, love, and unity. She wished Kenyans good luck. “I pray that God will be with you as you exercise your constitutional right to choose your leaders while embracing peace, love, and unity. Leaders from around the world have joined forces to urge Kenyans to maintain unity and peace during the election period, as this is critical to the country’s economic stability.
Kenya, the largest economy in East Africa, has a lot riding on the elections. Other East African presidents can do more than simply ask Kenyans to accept peace.
