Kenya’s vice president, William Ruto, is in profound sadness this morning following the tragic death of a well-known father in Eldoret.
Father Francis Opondo, according to the DP, was no longer alive.
Taking to his social media handle, Ruto has named the man of God as an awesome person who always had the heart of an angel
“Father Francis Opondo was a great faith leader whose sermons were spiritually nourishing. He was a dedicated samaritan who offered divine counsel to the community and uplifted the lives of many underprivileged people.
Our love and prayers to the family, their loved ones and the St. Francis Xavier Kapkoi Catholic Parish fraternity and the entire Catholic Diocese of Eldoret during this painful time. Rest In Peace, Father Opondo.”
Details as to what could have led to his untimely death still remain scanty as the news continues to unfold.
The bulk of netizens have expressed their condolences to the deputy president.
During these tough times as they come to terms with the man of God’s passing, a large number of people conveyed their sincere condolences to the entire Eldoret catholic community.
