Fourteen individuals sustained injuries in a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) accident that occurred at Mutithi-Kagio junction on the Mwea-Embu highway in Kirinyaga County.
The PSV, which was transporting 13 passengers from Embu to Nairobi, lost control and rolled into a ditch adjacent to a rice farm after colliding with a tuk tuk from behind.
Fortunately, the tuk tuk driver, who was traveling from Kandongu to Mutithi at the time of the Saturday incident, did not suffer any injurie, including boda boda riders, reported the accident to authorities and transported the injured passengers to the nearby White Rose nursing home hospital. Traffic officers from Sagana Police Station arrived at the scene promptly and removed the matatu wreckage.
