This follows the recent admission of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC Congo) as the EAC’s seventh member state. Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda are also members.
Simultaneously, a map of the new EAC community will be created, with DRC included.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s President, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi, arrived in the country on Wednesday.
