Pentagon Tracking More Than 650 Potential UFO Cases

The director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, Sean Kirkpatrick, informed a Senate Armed Services subcommittee that the US government is monitoring over 650 potential cases of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), also known as UFOs.

This number is up from the 350 cases mentioned in a previously released intelligence report on the topic. About half of these cases have been prioritized by Kirkpatrick’s office as being of anomalous and interesting value, but they must determine how much actual data is available.

Kirkpatrick explained how his office is helping the Pentagon and intelligence community identify emerging foreign technologies, including identifying a high-altitude surveillance balloon from China that entered US airspace.

He also shared two declassified videos, one unresolved and one resolved, both showing UAPs. However, Kirkpatrick reiterated that there is no evidence of extraterrestrial activity in any of the sightings.

He did express concern that a small number of the episodes could be evidence of potential technological advancements by foreign countries such as Russia and China, which would be handed off to the intelligence community to investigate further.
