Odinga brings good news to Kenyans who want to become teachers in the North Eastern region, as he says.

Teaching is a noble profession and a divine mandate to instill knowledge and skills in our students.

Azimio- Raila Odinga, a Kenya presidential candidate, has told citizens from the North Eastern region who want to become teachers that if he wins the general elections and forms the government in August this year, he will lower the entry grades for teacher training.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga said yesterday during a political rally in Habaswein township, Wajir County, that his government will use affirmative action to ensure the area has enough trained teachers.

Odinga’s decision to lower the entry grade for teachers comes after the region experienced a teacher shortage despite a high number of learners as a result of insecurity incidents reported in the region, causing trained teachers from other parts of the country to avoid the region.

Finally, Odinga expressed his feelings while speaking to supporters in Wajir, accompanied by Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka.
