Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe has accused Deputy President William Ruto of making bad decisions if he wins the presidential election in the upcoming general election.
Murathe told k24 on Tuesday night that Ruto is a vindictive leader who will make bad decisions that will stymie efforts to promote national unity in the country.
First, he claimed that Ruto is volatile and will rule with an iron fist, citing a leaked video clip in which the DP is accused of threatening to slap the president.
“What can he do to you (mwananchi) if he can slap the President?” Murathe expressed his curiosity.
The DP, on the other hand, defended himself, claiming that he was opposed to the president relinquishing power and accusing his political opponents of maligning his nane.
Murathe also claimed that Ruto would change the constitution to suit his own interests, and that the DP would not relinquish power if he succeeded Uhuru Kenyatta as President.
Some Kenyans who reacted to Murathe’s claims agreed with the DP, saying that a slap from a friend is preferable to kisses from enemies.
