Kimani Ichung’wah, a Kikuyu MP, criticizes Uhuru over his reaction to the violence directed at Raila Odinga.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah has joined the chorus of politicians, particularly those close to Deputy President William Ruto, who have reacted to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s remarks on the violence against Raila in Uasin Gishu County.

According to him, is partly to blame for it for failing to do the necessary in some of the similar heinous scenes that have occurred in the past and recent political arenas.

Among them is the one seen in Kibra constituency during the by-election between Jubilee and ODM party candidates.

Others include those seen in Kenol Murang’a County, where some people were killed, and in Kisumu County’s Kondele ward, where DP Ruto’s motorcades were severely damaged by stones.

And, in Ichung’wah’s opinion, if Uhuru, who is now condemning the violence meted out to his handshake partner, could have reacted positively to the previous violence, such a thing would not have occurred.

He has even accused the president of encouraging and promoting political violence against leaders.

Using the Kibra by-election as an example, MP Kimani Ichung’wah, a staunch supporter of DP Ruto, has quoted an alleged statement made by Uhuru saying that he was relieved that only politicians were beaten and that they could afford Nairobi Hospital.
