There have been significant battles in Azimio over who should be Raila Odinga’s running companion in recent weeks. Some people, particularly those from Wiper, believe that Kalonzo Musyoka should be appointed, while others from Jubilee believe that they would produce Raila Odinga’s deputy.
Now, it appears that Kalonzo Musyoka’s prospects of winning this place are dwindling. This comes after Azimio La Umoja, through Proffesor Makau Mutua, revealed how they will choose Raila Odinga’s running mate next week during the Azimio meeting.
According to Nation Africa, Mutua stated that Azimio will not take someone directly, but rather that Azimio delegates will vote for their preferred choice. This will be a setback for Kalonzo Musyoka because it is well known that the bulk of Azimio delegates are on Uhururaila’s side, and so they will inevitably vote for someone chosen by Uhuru and Raila, who may be from the Jubilee party.
