Kalonzo is no longer running for President.

The IEBC’s most recent rulings on allowed candidates mean that the Wiper party’s leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, is no longer able to pursue his presidential ambitions.

Two weeks prior, the individual who had previously served as Vice President announced his intention, ostensibly as a form of protest after being denied the opportunity to run as Azimio La Umoja’s running partner.

However, when the IEBC released the names of the sixteen candidates who had been granted permission to run for office, he was one of the candidates who were rejected by the commission.

Raila Odinga, the Azimio party’s leader; George Wajackoyah, the Roots Party’s leader; and William Ruto, a candidate for Kenya Kwanza and the current Deputy President, are among those who have been exonerated.

According to Citizen TV, there were eight independent candidates who passed the screening process. David Waihiga (Agano) and Ekuru Aukot were two of these candidates (Thirdway Alliance).

However, this news comes just a few days after Kalonzo’s running partner, Andrew Sunkuli, stated that the two of them would do whatever it takes to participate in the marathon.

“Yes, we’re on the ballot, and that’s why I’m here to represent my candidate for president, who is on a personal vacation outside the country,” he said earlier this month in Kenya’s Bomas.

Wiper Deputy Party Leader Farah Maalim, on the other hand, announced on Friday that Kalonzo is returning to Azimio and that Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta are effectively encouraging him to abandon his desire. Maalim made the remark.

He stated that the topic at hand is what Wiper will obtain from Raila and the Azimio leadership, rather than whether or not Wiper will return to Raila’s camp.

“We would like to continue living in Azimio, but in the meantime, we are negotiating our own arrangement, which is nearing completion thanks to the efforts of the three. They’ll have no trouble getting around in a short amount of time.” According to Citizen TV, the statement was made by a former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
