JKIA flights suspended after aborted takeoff of cargo plane

Due to technical issues during a cargo plane’s attempted takeoff, the runway at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) was closed temporarily.

As a result, all incoming and outgoing flights were suspended, as confirmed by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) in a statement.

The KAA emphasized the importance of passenger safety and is working closely with the relevant authorities to resolve the situation quickly and safely.

Travelers are advised to contact their respective airlines for further updates on flight status. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
