Hon. Moses Kuria, Member of Parliament for Gatundu South, sent an early morning message about the Mt. Kenya region ahead of the upcoming general elections in August 2022.
Moses Kuria stated on his social media page that the Mt. Kenya region is now paying a high price for failing to groom a successor over the last decade and for destroying their leaders rather than building them. He stated that the region has also been fighting each other rather than working together.
“The Mt Kenya region is paying a high price for failing to groom a successor over the last ten years. And for destroying rather than building our leaders. For seeing the bad in people rather than the good.” Moses Kuria is mentioned.
He stated that this is a sad day for the region and that the only thing left for them to do is to ring-fence and save the leadership of their respective counties.
“Today is a sad day. The only option is to ring-fence our respective counties’ leadership.” Kuria elaborated.
Kuria’s comments come amid a running mate stalemate in Kenya Kwanza. The United Democratic Alliance was supposed to announce William Ruto’s running mate on Saturday, but that didn’t happen because negotiations took longer than expected.
