The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga is leading the race to State House followed closely by Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto.
According to the opinion polls results released by research company InfoTrak on Wednesday July 17th, the former Prime Minister’s popularity heading into the August general election stands at 43 per cent against 37 per cent for his closest challenger Deputy President William Ruto.
Roots Party candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah is ranked third with 4 per cent while Agano Party’s Waihiga Mwaure’s popularity is 0.1%.
Similarly,16% of respondents were undecided.
These results come days after another research firm TIFA put Raila Odinga’s popularity at 42% and Ruto at 39% heading into the August polls.
InfoTrak CEO Angela Ambitho confirmed that 9,000 respondents from across the 290 constituencies participated in the data collection exercise.
However, the Kenya Kwanza brigade led by its presidential candidate William Ruto has rubbished the particular TIFA opinion polls terming them as a way of making Azimio reject election results.
Ruto further accused Azimio La Umoja-OneKenya of manufacturing findings.
