Following a long period of silence and a mysterious disappearance from the political spotlight, Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa decided to take another swipe at his former boss, ODM leader Raila Odinga, while speaking at a rally in Murnga County’s Kandara Constituency.
Aisha, with her usual bold demeanor, promised Kendara residents that she will assist Deputy President William Ruto in countering Raila’s influence in the coastal region.
“I was elected in Malindi as the first Woman MP in that constituency. I am now the lioness who holds the button that will stop the ‘Kitendawili’ man at the coast,” said Aisha.
She also urged Mount Kenya inhabitants against electing Raila Odinga as president in the upcoming elections, alleging that Raila is going to abandon regular Kenyans. Jumwa told the people that she quit supporting the ODM leader when she was betrayed, in what appeared to be a personal vendetta.
“I want to warn you the people of Kandara and the people of Mount Kenya at large that the old man (Raila) does not deserve to be elected even as a village elder because if you give him a chance then he will betray you. He has swindled almost everyone close to him politically. He coned Mudavadi, Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and even me Aisha Jumwa,” added Aisha.
Aisha Jumwa was part of the team that joined DP Ruto in his quest for grassroots input, similar to what the Azimio team did a few months ago.
