I Will not Die for Humanity Twice, Yesu wa Tongaren Declares

As Easter is celebrated by Christians throughout the country, Eliud Wekesa, also known as ‘Yesu Wa Tongaren,’ has announced that he will not die for the sins of humanity a second time.

Wekesa, the leader of the New Jerusalem sect, addressed rumors of a plan to crucify him, which was an attempt to replicate the sufferings of Jesus Christ.

He stated that his presence marks the Parousia, a time when Christian believers expect the second coming of Jesus. He added that since he has come for the second time, he will not be laid on the cross again.

Wekesa issued a warning to those who are plotting against him, claiming that they will be destroyed. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the timing of the Easter celebrations, stating that according to him, Easter will begin on 28 July and end on 30 July.

Christians commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ during the Easter festivities. Good Friday is observed before the festivities, during which the church mourns Jesus’ crucifixion.

Some residents of Tongaren are using this fact against the self-proclaimed “messiah.”

Recently, an image of Wekesa enjoying a meal with his wife surfaced on social media, and it quickly became the subject of jokes.

Some netizens compared it to the Last Supper, which, according to the Gospel accounts, was the last meal Jesus shared with his apostles before his crucifixion.
