Hellen, Governor Obado’s wife, will run for Migori’s Women Representative seat.

Hellen, Migori Governor Obado’s wife, addressed the press in a phone call on Friday, stating unequivocally that she is interested in Migori’s Women Representative seat. She also stated that she will run on an independent ticket. Her political decision, however, has completely ruffled the Woman Representative race and county politics. As a result, she will be the third female candidate for the Migori seat in the upcoming August 9th elections.

Hellen claims she has begun the process of being cleared by the electoral body but has yet to choose a political symbol for the ballot. She emphasized that the women’s representative seat is a public seat for which the public and voters vote via ballot, and she will seek their support in her bid for that seat.

Despite the fact that she has yet to officially launch her campaigns, she has been collaborating closely with her husband, governor Okoth Obado, in his bid for the governorship seat in Migori.

However, her political opponent, former radio journalist Josephine Sirega, who is running on an independent ticket, also addressed Hellen in this manner “We welcome her to the race, and we will show her that families will never decide Migori’s fate. On the campaign trail, we will call her out in front of the voters “She stated.

As a result, in addition to Mrs. Sirega, Hellen will face Migori Woman Representative Dennitah Ghati, who has been cleared to run on an ODM ticket, Lillian Akugo, who is running on a Jubilee Party ticket, and businesswoman Fatuma Mohammed, who is running on an Independent ticket.
