Hon Gladys Boss Shollei, Uasin Gishu Women Representative, has stated that if the Azimio La Umoja coalition considers appointing a woman as running mate, she will be overjoyed. This comes after Martha Karua joined forces with Raila Odinga.
She stated that if Karua, for example, is given the running mate position, several women may decide to support Azimio as a result. She also stated that she will be very drawn to the Coalition where women are also given a chance to lead. She did, however, accuse the Azimio team of excluding women from powerful positions.

Gladys, on the other hand, defended the Kenya Kwanza movement, claiming that it has many positions held by Ruto’s side, citing UDA Secretary General Hon Veronica Maina as an example of a woman who aligns with the Kenya Kwanza team.
