In a Gazette Notice dated April 20, 2023, President William Ruto has appointed former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi as the Chairperson of the National Oil Corporation of Kenya Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Other State appointments include former Tharaka Nithi Governor Samuel Ragwa as Chairperson of the National Cereals and Produce Board, former Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), and Prof. Kimathi Mbogori Kigatiira as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute.
Richard Cheruiyot and Godfrey Lemiso have also been appointed as Chairpersons of the Export Processing Zones Authority and Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation respectively, for a three-year term.
In addition, former Presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Environment Trust Fund for three years.
Meanwhile, National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u has appointed lawyer Adrian Kamotho Njenga as the Chairperson of the Capital Markets Tribunal for a three-year term.
