When chaos erupted in Kangaru tallying center in Embu county, a police officer was caught on camera punching a man before discovering that he knew him.
In a video shared by Nation Media, an officer dressed in blue can be seen punching the back of a man dressed in green.
However, the man looks back calmly, and the police appear to have identified him at this point.
As the police continue to chase the rowdy youths out of the tallying center, the two go ahead and hug each other.
According to sources, police officers were forced to calm down angry political candidate supporters who were demanding the results from the returning officer.
The police were able to restore order to the tallying center.
Kenyans have been advised to be patient as the IEBC officials go through the extensive process of tallying and verifying election results in order to release free, fair, and credible results.
