As Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua held a joint presidential campaign in Kirinyaga, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino electrified the Azimio la Umoja rally in Kirinyaga.
The firebrand MP, known for his sense of humour, kept the crowd entertained as he backed Raila and Karua for the presidency, claiming that the duo will right all wrongs committed by previous governments in Kenya’s modern history.
While comparing Raila and Karua’s political union to a marriage, Owino stated that the couple will have beautiful children.
To him, the beautiful children represent the many promises Raila and Karua have made to Kenyans that they intend to carry out if they form the next government.
With free secondary and university education, Babacare, and addressing Kenya’s ailing economy at the top of their campaign agenda, Owino believes a Raila and Karua government is all Kenyans require.
Owino was also quick to issue a warning shot to the chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati, saying that this time would be different.
The fiery and occasionally controversial legislator accused the IEBC boss of plotting to sabotage the August 9 general election, alleging that he is secretly working with some people to influence the outcome of the poll.
