Isiolo police officers are currently investigating an incident that occurred this evening after a vehicle transporting several construction workers allegedly blew up after running over an explosive placed in the middle of the road.
According to a news report shared by a reliable source of information, the Pickup was allegedly heading to Elwak before it allegedly ran over the alleged Explosive, injuring several Occupants on the vehicle.
According to Mandera County Commissioner Johnes Tonui, at least four of the workers were allegedly rushed to the hospital and are currently receiving medical treatment.
Fortunately, no one was killed during the process. Furthermore, the Mandera police chief claimed that the explosive was planted by Alshabaab suspects who are currently fleeing the region due to the ongoing peacekeeping operation in various parts of Mandera and its surroundings.
Kenyans who took to their various social media accounts to express their opinions and suggestions on the incident have urged the government to consider deploying more police officers in Isiolo in order to reduce the increasing number of Alshabaabs suspects who are said to be behind this.
According to most Kenyans, it is so unfortunate that the government has yet to do anything about the increasing cases of attacks in Isiolo, despite the fact that a number of people, including police officers, have died.
