Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Owino, also known as Babu Owino, has called out Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru on the issue of land grabbing.
During Raila’s campaign in Kirinyaga, Owino surprised many by courageously revealing that Waiguru had taken a plot of land in South Ngariama.
Owino revealed that the Kirinyaga governor had taken 2000 acres of South Ngariama people’s land.
To this ,Owino has promised that if Raila wins the election on August , the land will be taken back to the owners.
“Tunajua ile shamba iko South Ngariama, ulichukua acre elfu mbili na Baba akiingia tutarudishia wananchi hiyo shamba yote,” he said of Waiguru.
(We are aware of the plot of land in South Ngiriama where you took two thousand acres; if Raila is elected president, we will return the land to the citizens.)
Owino has also called Waiguru out for claiming she built the Rukenya dam, revealing that the dam was built by the national government rather than her.
To that end, Owino has urged Kirinyaga residents to vote Waiguru in August.
