Presidential running mate Martha Karua of Azimio la Umoja has warned Kenyans not to vote for Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto. She claimed that her opponent did not care about Kenyans.
Ms Karua claimed that UDA presidential candidate William Ruto was unfit due to his empty rhetoric about Kenyans’ welfare.
Karua urged the coast’s 1.9 million voters to support Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
She went on to say that Raila had previously fought against the odds and served Kenyans with diligence.
“We are in jeopardy as a country because of some politicians who are hell-bent on destroying Kenyans during electioneering. Let us not let them sow the seeds of discord. Elect leaders who bring Kenyans together, from ward representatives to the presidency “Ms. Martha stated.
Ms Karua expressed confidence that Azimio would win the elections on August 9. She also discusses how women vied for the presidency prior to the election of Governor Charity Ngilu in 1997. She encourages Kenyans to support women in positions of leadership.
