Kelvin Bahati, a well-known artist, received a hero’s welcome in the Bahati constituency yesterday. According to a video circulating on social media, the singer and aspiring member of Parliament is trailed by large crowds everywhere he goes. However, there is a noticeable presence of security personnel who are in charge of crowd control.
Bahati is a well-known figure in the entertainment industry. He married another celebrity, Diana Marua, and they have two children.
He did, however, decide to enter politics and run for a parliamentary seat on the Jubilee party ticket. He recently released Mtoto wa Mathare, a cover song featuring Raila Odinga. Despite being a member of the president’s party, the singer has attached Raila’s photos, implying that he supports the Azimio la umoja alliance’s bid to take over the country’s leadership.
Bahati promised to look into the critical issues affecting slum dwellers. He confirms that he understands the challenges because he grew up in the same slums. According to Bahati, his leadership will bring a new image to Mathare, motivating residents to believe in a better future dream. He was accompanied by several young leaders, including senator Ngugi IG, who was nominated.
