Police arrest over 100 youth being ferried in buses to allegedly disrupt Deputy President William Ruto’s rallies in Gatundu South

In Gatundu South, where Deputy President William Ruto was campaigning, almost 100 individuals were arrested.

Police reported that they were detaining 100 people who had been transported to Gatundu South from unknown locations ahead of DP Ruto’s visit.

According to police, the gang consisted of thugs who were suspected of being hired to disrupt President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rally on Friday, March 18, in the Kiamwangi region of Gatundu South, Kenyatta’s home turf.

Three buses carrying young passengers suspected of being part of a larger gang of goons were stopped by police.

DP Ruto set up camp in Gatundu, inviting citizens to speak with the President about his remarks and opinions on his succession.

“Speak with President Kenyatta, your friend and neighbor, about staying away from the presidential elections.

“Kindly request that he not use the same knife that I used to protect him in the two previous elections to cut off my legs.” Request that he refrain from supporting Raila Odinga, the man who speaks in riddles “said the DP.

Despite his efforts to assist him in his rise to prominence, he accused the President of betraying him.

“Remind him that he and I knelt in front of the clergy and his mother, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, to be prayed for.” “Please ask him to remain out of presidential campaigns so that I can defeat Raila Odinga, even if he doesn’t want to aid me in my quest to become President,” the DP stated.

Ruto also chastised Uhuru’s government for its “inhumane” handling of the planned evacuation of at least 2,500 Mutomo village people, whose land is slated to be acquired by the state to make way for the Mama Ngina University.
