On Saturday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, hiked across Mount Kenya Forest and interacted with residents of Kieni Constituency along the way.
Gachagua stated that they embarked on this journey to connect with nature and appreciate God’s creation. They trekked for 18 kilometers through Hombe Forest in Mathira Constituency before entering Kabaru Forest in Kieni Constituency.
The DP expressed gratitude for the rains, which had brought about lush greenery and the soothing sound of River Sagana. They met farmers and livestock herders who were thankful for the rains.
Gachagua also stated that he was inspired by President William Ruto’s responsibility in the country’s economic liberation. On Friday, the DP visited his aunt, Gladys Gathoni, who lives a few kilometers from his home, with his wife accompanying him in the early hours of the morning.
During his visit, he met with some of his childhood friends who were going about their usual business.
